At times, it is as though the story contorts itself in ways just to have Saito in a situation with a girl such that if he was walked in upon, it would look really bad, and of course, who but Louise should always walk in on these times. Julio challenges Saito to a fight in which the winner gets to kiss Louise. In Gallia, Joseph and Sheffield uncover a massive object, which Joseph calls Jormungand, covered with pulsing veins with a single large eye. Everyone regroups and Tabitha reveals the kidnappers are from Gallia, meaning Joseph is behind the kidnapping. Saito states that his master is irrelevant, because his love is only for her. Back in their room, Louise insists Saito explain the misunderstanding that Agnès mentioned and returns to her previous treatment on him.

The next day, Siesta walks into Louise and Saito's room to see Louise sitting on the edge of the bed.
After rescuing Tabitha, the gang are now on their way back to Tristain; however Louise is feeling very insecure because all of a sudden she is unable to use her magic.
